Legendary Ghanaian Comic Actor, Kofi Laing, popularly known as Kohwe sadly gives up the ghost. This happened a couple of days after a picture of him trended on social media.
His unfortunate demise was confirmed by his daughter, Comfort Laing. Information reaching TheViralGist indicates he passed away few days after a photo showing his deteriorated health surfaced on social media.
Comfort, Kohwe’s daughter, disclosed information about her father’s passing to ghanaweekend.com. According to Comfort, her father died in his residence situated in Accra, Ghana. She explained that the incident took place in the evening on 16th September, 2021. He died at the age of 75.
Health
The veteran actor has been battling stroke a while now of which he was recieving medial care until he died. He struggled to articulated properly during an interview with Oman Channel. Ghanaians knew Kohwe to be one vibrant and agile individual but at the interview at Oman, he appeared very feeble, dull and faint. At the same interview, he confirmed that he was not in good shape with respect to his health. He further solicited for help from anyone who was willing to assist. He stressed that everyone would one day need help so we should help him out.

Mr Kofi Laing better known as Kohwe is a great Ghanaian Actor who surfaced into the the movie industry in 1971. His name “Kohwe” became a household name after his outstanding roles in the Akan drama Series, District Colonial Court and Kaneshie Odorkor Television Series. He also featured in a handful of Ghanaian local movies. He was loved for his undeniably hillarious character.
Not only did he serve in the Ghanaian Movie Industry, he was a dedicated worker at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
